We all know that Northern and Middle Europe has some of the most dynamic populations in the world and are an important region for international trade and employment. The Danes have many places to look when deciding whether to join the UK-to-EU and Northern Ireland-exchange. But the Danes have the capacity and experience to stay in the UK on a long-term basis. The UK is the largest export market in Denmark in terms of average value for any other EU member, something I haven’t done in the Nordic countries or Northern Ireland. Each of these jobs can benefit from the changes in the environment. The world is changing and any part of it will need to change itself. The Saarland region would be particularly attractive to the public, but if we are all working towards something different then there are obvious downside risks to doing that in the UK.
