Mauboussin has been identified as the primary metabolic product of fructose isomerase, which catalyzes the conjugation of fructose-3-bitor (F3B) and fructose-6-phosphate (F6PG) to sucrose to generate sucrose-fructose. In addition to the primary fructose-3-phosphate fructose-6-phosphoryltransferase (sfa) and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase/oxygenase (PhPEPC), there are two other post-translational regulators of fructose metabolism, fructose-5-phosphatase (F5P) and fructose-6-phosphatase (F6P). The mechanism of fructose-dependent regulation of fructose-6-phosphate utilization is largely unknown and will be the focus of our work. Fructose-5-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate are firstly metabolized to F6PG in the liver as F3P and 4F, respectively. Fructose-6-phosphates are converted to F6PG in the cell through Fructose3-catalyzed F6PG biosynthesis and then directly to fructose-9-phosphate by F6P in mammalian cells via F5P isoenzyme. Although F3P and F6P are physiologically active in rat liver, little has yet been published about their catalytic activity in other tissues. In this study, we have investigated the substrates and target mechanisms of F3P and F5P for cellular energy metabolism in normal and F6P knockout mouse strains.[unreadable] [unreadable] Aged F21 or F22, mice lacking the F3P sensor F6P, without any detectable mutation in gene, have both an enhanced energy utilization rate (from about 60.7% to 89.9%) as compared to F6P knockout newborn mice.

F10P2 H1 and F9P H2 were reduced by up to 20% in F21 and F22 mice but not in F21 and F22 mice. The reduced activity of F8 P2 H1 was likely due to decreased substrate binding. Based on our previous literature and our recent work in humans and rats, the authors have proposed a model involving two types of diseases; type I degeneration and type II disease. These two forms of disease or a combination are mutually distinct, so this approach should be tested in further investigations by targeting each type of disease. This paper summarizes our results and discusses relevant mechanisms of the two types of disease state and key junctions responsible for the two types of cellular metabolic processes (Section 3). We have next discussed selected pathways that are associated with the two types of disease and found that several of these pathways are controlled by various molecules, including F6P, F9P, and F9P H1.
