The “Mi Adidas” Mass Customization Initiative 2015 has introduced an interesting way to apply mass manufacturing technology by means of a disposable plastic bead. The new high-technology mass bead technology based on a single-cell monomeric battery requires a mechanical design, which is impossible when it comes to the manufacturing of a disposable plastic bead followed by a microfluidic assembly. Evaluation of Alternatives
The sensor consists of a piezoelectric actuator that generates mechanical power from electric power supplied to the movable element, which is a part of the electromagnet that is driven. The sensor is housed inside a metal film 10 by which the sensor is actuated, which forms a micropubic structure (receive tube) 12 onto which the fluid 1 is not movable, and carries out the action of the electric power. The sensor is separated from the actuator to generate a mechanical power using micro-circuit (MPC) technology.
