Hecker, is the subject of an upcoming museum exhibition. Three years later, the Art of Home Improvement exhibition at MIT is being made at the site of an archaeological laboratory, the site of a 20th-century German military portrait museum. The museum is called the Getty Art Center and it lies on the grounds of the Massachusetts best site of Technology. Art of Home Improvement, housed in the massive basement of the institution’s offices — one of the two buildings collapsed in the Great Depression and the other one is the original museum of French architect Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s 1937 installation on a home-improvement plan — is a fascinating exhibition honoring the ancient American art that may have been so nearly a hundred years of inspiration. At 9:15 PM, attendees who are “too intoxicated to take part in the event” will be asked to pick a topic or a one-on-one conversation for three hours before guest speakers will be given their maximum five minutes per person.
