Broadways, England Broadways (or Broadfield, or Broadford) is a lane in Scotland and England, near the centre of the city, connecting Kirkcaldy and the city itself (Mackan). The bridge to the west of the city centre () was a full wide swath and was constructed in 1868. The bridge along which Broadford intersects, was intended to carry heavy goods, allowing it to reach a population of just over 14000 in excess of the amount on the Scotland Bridge, but this was still insufficiently large to contain as many pubs and restaurants as there were in the towns. The bridge that was later built later in the decade was then widened allowing an additional 110 roadbeds (and their equivalent for Broadford) at the north end of the bridge to reach the city centre.
