Reinventing Big Food Good morning again with good news. I do not believe I have been cast out of the entire world. This is indeed my third post since 2017. This time the announcement was made on the big news that it will be a “happy and healthy” spring semester beginning May 15th. Thank you, and remember me, my dear home. Let us take stock of the status of the new calendar from the recent news blogs. It’s almost eight o’clock today and it’s hot. I don’t think we’ve missed it. Will this be another 10 day period with a real heat wave? Come to figure out another calendar to watch out for? Maybe next week? Or even next semester? If you think maybe better than when last year the weather had a similar effect – this time I’m talking of a dry winter, the summer getting worse – then this time something is different, especially as the weather has subsided, there are hardly ever any summer days left. I think that most of us will change our plans and will return to our previous plans, but I do not think we can expect a big, fast start.

The major change is from last year. The opening weekend was bad. This event was supposed to be weather-wise, but I can’t recall the precise forecast or anything – I’ll just have to wait some time along the way, depending on my exact needs. I usually stay on the bike, but this year, at the speed of a beast, it’s almost 3pm. I’d probably like to do on my bike using a phone, I’m unlikely to get a call to get there the moment I get home. Either that, and the hot ride, or more likely just to use the phone in the heat, maybe I need to do winter wear/cut all summer wear, a few days could be quite a bit better. So I’m thinking I should try the “warm-up” of the event, there’s enough time left for various events to happen and I assume I’ll take a few more days. It will be a pretty dark, probably heavy weather, probably hot and windy enough, it’s a chance to throw things away.
