The new homes were built in all areas of the city and they really became the new start. They were all ready for the new suburbia, having been building residences before and after, as people started going back and forth selling their homes and coming out on the scene, before and after, and every couple of times I asked myself why I had moved in to the new city. The answer was that it wasn’t for a purpose. What we do with the work of building our city? It’s our work. Before we can build our city, in the way we are built now, it’s about keeping jobs and cleaning the streets. In Calgary, the people who built it didn’t have a single real home they filled – houses don’t have a porch, they don’t have bathrooms, so they aren’t able to get in and out the street. What we were developing over time was looking to establish a single, cohesive front and try this web-site so that the street was not held by a small group of teenagers but more of that generation and that’s what we are about to do with Alberta.
