[1](#F1){ref-type=”fig”}, [4](#F4){ref-type=”fig”}) are highly expressed by these cells ([@B4],[@B5]). An important molecular strategy that is highly involved in glucose sensing is the regulation of glucose translocation across VSMC. Glucose translocation is mediated by a protein complex in which the membrane lipid bilayer protein LTP delivers glycolytic PDPs through a type II transmembrane arrest of β-cells, known as PTP-mediated translocation (TTP) ([@B6]). Because PTP translocation is stimulated by a glycolytic cycle in hyporesponsive VSMC cells, PTP translocated into glucose transport, by GFP-1, might also be essential for the glucose sensing ability of VSMC ([@B7]-[@B9]).
