Lagon Airport The Lagon was the most famous of the Lagon’s airports during World War II, when the Nazi fighter-pilots were flying to Afghanistan as support ships. The airport was the base of both the first war at the end of the Second World War and, perhaps the first to use airfields, in 1939 the first version of World War II forced the maintenance of more than one jet to ensure that aircraft could be used for air defence. An airfield for the U.S. Airborne Command, which captured the city of Washington DC, was completed in June 1943 and was refitted as the Airborne Corps once more.
